Welcome to The Yoruba Party in the UK

The UK is our ‘home from home’, and we must fully embrace this reality. To do so, we must participate actively in the political life of the UK.

Why we formed the yoruba party in the uk

Empowering the Yoruba Voice in British Politics

The Yoruba Party in the UK was established to awaken us from our political timidity. This timidity has rendered us politically weak and has allowed negative stereotypes about us to go unchallenged. The UK is our ‘home from home’, and we must fully embrace this reality. To do so, we must participate actively in the political life of the UK.

Challenging the ‘Transit Lounge‘ Mentality

Many Black people treat the UK as if it is merely the transit lounge of an airport—a temporary stop before moving on. This mindset leads to passive acceptance of whatever is offered, good or bad. However, while we linger in this so-called transit lounge, years and decades pass by unfulfilled.

A New Path for Future Generations

Children born here often inherit their parents’ timidity, resulting in a sense of belonging to nowhere. This can lead to anti-social behavior, crime, and drug abuse. The Yoruba Party in the UK was formed to offer a better path—a path of empowerment, active participation, and self-representation.
